Personally, I'd go with charging your steam wallet and then buy through Mog Station, if only because I'm not a fan of the confusion that might arise with what you're exactly getting with steam shop codes. (Actually had to pay the extra 33 cents to upgrade a hastily-bought 1 month sub once, just so I could apply my gametime card.) Just be aware of the difference between the different kinds of subscriptions: the official 60-day cards do not support the Basic level subscription for example, and can not even be entered when you are using a Basic level subscription.

I also like to use 60-day game time cards which function no problem, so I would assume any game time codes would work. When you go to confirm payment it links you to the generic steam payment system, where you have to log in as any valid Steam account. Additionally, in case you have multiple steam accounts you can pay from any single steam account's wallet. * A subscription fee is required to play.As a steam user, I can get anything in mog station (from sub to bennu mount to name change) and simply select "Steam Wallet" as a payment method. * Registration of this product grants users access to Endwalker, as well as previous expansion packs, Stormblood and Shadowbringers. In order to register this product, you will need a method to play FINAL FANTASY XIV that does not include the free trial. * This is the latest FINAL FANTASY XIV expansion pack and is intended for existing users who own the full version of FINAL FANTASY XIV, as this product cannot be played on its own.
